Studer: A 80 ~ Review

Print Spinner (Advisor), nov 26, 2012

Positive:
This reel to reel recorder made many master tapes all around the world's top musicians.

Negative:
Not in production anymore. Bulky, difficult to service. Spare parts you need to buy on ebay.

Detailed description:

If you can get hold of some really good reel to reel tapes- like master tape copies, be prepared for musical reproduction which  you are not used to- but it just sounds so right. But the ulimative transparency might be compromised by old electronics and wiring. I wonder what output would be from machine being modified by today's standards.
